Butler Township Police Activity

BUTLER TOWNSHIP — The following police activity report was received from the Butler Township Police Department. All subjects are innocent until found guilty in a court of law.

August 21

America’s Best Value Inn, unruly juveniles, Responded to hotel for missing juveniles. Two adults were taken into custody for contributing to minors.

Walmart, theft without consent, Dispatched to Walmart in reference to a shoplifter in custody, and a trespass. The shoplifter was a juvenile, the trespass request was an adult. Adult provided false information as to her identity for the trespass notice. Adult charged with obstruction, juvenile charged with the theft.

Smokey Bones, disorderly conduct, Dispatched to the Smokey Bones in reference to an intoxicated female at the bar, in and out of consciousness. Upon arrival subject was located, identified and summons for Disorderly Conduct.

August 22

Walmart, theft without consent, Responded to theft at Walmart.

Residence Inn, theft,

Victim stayed at the Residence Inn from Friday, August 18, 2017, to Monday, August 21, 2017. On Tuesday, August 22, 2017, after returning to her home in Cleveland, Ohio, the victim discovered that she was missing $370 in currency. The victim believes that a housekeeper stole the money.

Walmart, theft, Walmart Asset Protection Associate Holliday reported stopping an Hispanic male who had shoplifted a set of linens. Holliday recovered the stolen property, but the male fled the scene.

N. Dixie Drive, no charge listed, Victim alleges that her ex-boyfriend took a Huntington Bank ATM and a Visa Debit card related to their joint checking account from her purse and closed the account.

August 23

America’s Best Value Inn, rape, On Wednesday, August 23, 2017 I was dispatched to 6501 Miller Lane to meet with a victim. Upon arrival I spoke to a white female who advised that an assault had occurred at 7130 Miller Lane. A report was taken.

Old Springfield Road, theft without consent, Vehicle was parked outside of the victims business. Truck bed tool box containing miscellaneous hand tools was stolen from truck bed. No damage was done to the truck and no entry made into the cab of the truck.

August 24

Benchwood Road, no charge listed, 30 year old female subject locked herself in the bathroom with a steak knife and was talking about killing herself. The victim eventually exited the bathroom unarmed and unharmed. She was transported to Grandview Hospital for a mandatory psychiatric evaluation.

Walmart, theft without consent, Responded to Walmart for a theft.

Walmart, theft, Subject selected and concealed property passing last point of purchase making no attempt to pay for the property.

Benchwood Road, possession of heroin, Dispatched to a medic call of an unconscious but breathing. Arrival was delayed due to other priority calls. Upon arrival I met with medic crews who used 8 doses of Narcan to revive the patent. Inside a right front pants pocket medics located a brown prescription bottle that contained one and a half gelatin capsules that contained suspected heroin.

Wing’s Bar, OVI/Physical Control, While getting ready to do a permit holder’s check at Wing’s Bar located at 7902 N. Dixie Dr. I saw a White male sleeping or passed out in the driver’s seat of a running motor vehicle. The subject was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was arrested for OVI. A loaded handgun was also found in the console of the vehicle. Subject also charged with possession of a handgun while intoxicated.

August 25

Walmart, theft, Responded to Walmart for a theft. Female subject was running towards McDonald’s Restaurant. Apprehended female at York Commons Boulevard and North Dixie Drive. Female admitted to theft and possessing hypodermic syringes. Female was arrested without incident.

Walmart, theft, Investigation reveals that a suspect took a Dyson vacuum, still in the box, at Walmart, and fled the store without paying for it. The suspect is also the same suspect from an earlier robbery at Walmart.

August 26

Walmart, theft, Responded to a theft in progress at Walmart, 3465 York Commons Blvd. The suspect fled in a vehicle and the vehicle make, model, color and license plate number was provided by Asset Protection Associate Brooke Holliday. The vehicle was located and stopped. The female was later charged for theft and booked into the Montgomery County Jail.

Speedway, theft, Dispatched to Speedway, 6501 Miller Lane regarding a theft that just occurred. The suspect description including the vehicle description with license plate number was provided. Vehicle was located and the suspect was arrested for theft. Drug abuse instruments(needles)were located inside the vehicle conceal resulting in two arrests.

Walmart, theft without consent, heft of merchandise from Walmart – subject caught near Fazolis after running.
