Fire classes at Senior Center
VANDALIA — Kim Hannahan of the Vandalia Fire Department will be offering two more classes starting at 10 a.m. Each session will last 1 1/2 to 2 hours with an intermission and snacks. The July 13 class will cover carbon monoxide detectors and smoke detectors, a residential lock box, and the new rescue truck show and tell. On July 27, Hanahan will be covering fire, electrical, and vehicle safety. The classes are open to all senior citizens. Historical Society basketry demo Sunday
VANDALIA — Historical Society member and master weaver Jennie Dranschak will provide a demonstration, with a variety of handmade baskets and information, related to the art of basket weaving during the Historical Society of Vandalia-Butler Open House Sunday, July 16 at the Society grounds from 1:30-2:30 p.m., 336 East Alkaline Springs Road, Vandalia. St. Christopher Craft Bazaar seeking donations
VANDALIA — The St. Christopher Craft Bazaar is on it’s way and we are taking donations. The donations will be for the raffle table at the Craft Bazaar that is being held November 4. Items we are seeking for donation to raffle off include Event Tickets, Amusement tickets, gift cards, vendor baskets and more. Butler Township Neighborhood Watch meetings set
BUTLER TWP. — The Butler Township combined neighborhood watch groups has changed the date of its next meeting to Wednesday, August 9 at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Township Hall, 3780 Little York Road. During the meeting, Tonya Folks of Be Free Dayton will talk about Human Trafficking in the region while focusing on Miller Lane. Butler classes of 1971, 1972 to hold reunion
VANDALIA — The Vandalia-Butler High School classes of 1971 and 1972 are holding a class reunion on Saturday, August 5, 2017. Kiser High School Almuni Meetings

VANDALIA — The Vandalia Lions Club holds dinner meetings on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month at the Cassel Hills Golf Clubhouse at 6:30 p.m. The club does not hold dinner meetings in July or August. Programs include speakers covering topical subjects.

VANDALIA — MOPS and MOMS Next meetings offer community and mothering support to mothers of children age birth through six. MOPS and MOMS Next meetings are held at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Vandalia (122 W.
