BUTLER TOWNSHIP – Food, children’s games, door prizes and raffle drawings are just a few of the highlights in store at the thirty-second annual National Night out on Tuesday, August 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Stonespring. This program heightens awareness about drug and crime prevention, generates support for local anti-crime programs and strengthens police and community partnerships.
At the same time, it sends a message to criminal that neighborhoods are organizing together to fight back against crime.
Last year, more than 15,000 communities across the United States held a National Night Out event, which is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch.
The Butler Township Police Department is hosting the event. The Police and Fire Departments will bring their apparatus and vehicles to display. Special thanks goes to Stonespring Community for providing the food, children’s activities and raffle prizes.
