Butler Township Police Activity

BUTLER TOWNSHIP — The following police activity report was received from the Butler Township Police Department. All subjects are innocent until found guilty in a court of law.

May 8

Walmart, theft, Employee took money from the register totaling $1140 from April 29, 2017 to May 8, 2017. Montgomery County Jail.

Randler Drive, theft, While assisting Vandalia Police Department, I investigated a theft from a motor vehicle complaint involving two juvenile male suspects. I located and detained both juveniles who admitted to stealing misc. items from two separate unlocked vehicles parked at 611 Randler Dr. Both juveniles were turned over to their legal guardians, and the stolen property was turned over to VPD, Officer Shaffer. The victims left the park prior to my arrival, and the witnesses did not have a chance to notify them of the offense, or get the license plates for these vehicles.

I-70/I-75, reckless operation, Suspect passed our marked Butler Township Police Vehicle on the right and nearly ran into the rear of a semi. stop and suspect fled. Pursued until Huber Heights Police Units took over and terminated.

May 9

Benchwood Road/I-75, Assisted Bulk Smuggling Task Force by making a traffic stop. Investigation handled by the task force.

May 10

Benchwood Road, domestic violence, Responded to domestic violence call. Arrest made after victim claimed suspect had Brandished a knife and made threats to harm her with it.

York Commons Blvd., OVI, Observed subject strike the curb. After interview of the subject, the subject was arrested for OVI.

Walmart, theft without consent, Responded to Walmart for a theft in progress. Subject was stopped at Speedway, 6501 Miller Lane. Subject was arrested for theft.

May 11

Walmart, theft, Responded on theft in progress. Suspect was stopped driving a vehicle from the scene. perpetrator, arrested, and booked into the jail.

Benchwood Road, possession of marijuana, Investigation revealed that the driver of a vehicle stopped for speed was found in possession of less than 100 grams of marijuana in the 3000-block of Benchwood Road.

America’s Best Value Inn, disorderly conduct/intoxication, Investigation revealed that an intoxicated subject was found urinating in a stairwell at America’s Best Value Inn in view of the public. He was cited for public intoxication/disorderly conduct. He was also trespassed per the hotel clerk.

May 12

Evermur Drive, unruly juvenile, Complainant advised that his daughter was unruly and requested a report be made.

Walmart, theft, Female selected items walked past last point of purchase making co attempt to pay for property fled in vehicle and was apprehended.

Walmart, theft, Responded to Walmart for theft of a bicycle. Complainant stated that he parked his bike near the pharmacy doors, but he did not place a lock on his bike. An unknown white male was seen on video stealing the bike and riding away.

Walmart, theft without consent, Responded to Walmart for a theft in progress. The suspect was stopped by Asset Protection and later arrested for theft and criminal tools. The suspect was booked into the Montgomery County Jail.

Miller Lane, drug paraphernalia, Investigation revealed that the defendant was stopped for driving on Miller Lane near Benchwood Road for not having taillights. The driver was found to be driving under a suspended driver license and in possession of drug paraphernalia and possible unknown narcotics.

May 13

Day’s Inn, criminal trespass, Subject staying in motel room had been served prior trespass warning was charged with criminal trespass and taken to the Montgomery County Jail.

America’s Best Value Inn, disorderly conduct/intoxication, Responded to America’s Best Value Inn regarding an unconscious subject. Upon arrival, subject was found laying in the floor of room 106, unresponsive from a heroin overdose.

Walmart, theft, Male selected merchandise walked past last point of purchase making no attempt to pay for property.

May 14

Forest Green Ct., possession of drugs, The suspicious person listed in the original call was located and arrested for a probation violation warrant. Upon booking him in to the Montgomery County Jail, a small amount of suspected crystal meth was found inside his sock. The suspected drugs have been collected and will be submitted to the MVRCL for analysis. The arrestee admitted to being a heroin and meth abuser but claimed he was high on Adderal at that time.
