Vandalia Police Reports

VANDALIA – The following police reports were received from the Vandalia Division of Police. All subjects are innocent until found guilty in court of law.

February 28

A complainant reported that a man she used to live with threatened her after a trial involving the man. The investigation continues.

March 6

Austin H. Caudill, 18, and Cody R. Fisher, 22, were cited for theft after being spotted stealing items from cars along Buttercup Avenue. Fisher was also charged with disorderly conduct/public intoxication. Both were released.

March 7

A resident on Pool Avenue reported that money was transferred out of her checking account without her permission. The investigation continues.

A resident on N. Dixie Drive reported the theft of rent money from under her door mat that had been left for her landlord to pick up. The investigation continues.

Danielle Cole, 28, of Trenton, was issued a summons for criminal trespassing after an incident at the Animal Resource Center in which she entered a restricted area and confronted an employee.

Amanda Jo Jarrell, 41, was issued a summons for disorderly conduct/intoxication after bring found highly intoxicated and under the influence of prescription medications. She was released to a sober friend.

A possible meth lab was reported found by staff at the Hawthorne Suites. The fire department made sure the room was safe and police took over the investigation.

March 8

A complainant on Foley Drive reported her ex-husband had borrowed her car in December but had yet to return it. The vehicle was entered into LEADS/NCIC as stolen.

A complainant on Taylorsview Dr. reported that a friend kicked his sliding glass door and broke it. The investigation continues.

A juvenile girl reported that a known juvenile female assaulted her at St. Christopher Parish. The victim was transported by the Division of Fire to Dayton Children’s Hospital. The investigation continues.

March 9

Andrea E. McFarland, 37, was arrested for domestic violence after an incident on on Halifax Drive. She was taken to the county jail. A charge was was later added for aggravated trespassing.

March 10

A complainant reported that a van crashed into the passenger side of his car in the parking lot of PNC bank and left without leaving information. The investigation continues.

March 11

Ronald L. Miles, 25, was arrested on a warrant out of Montgomery County Area 2 Court on a traffic offense after a traffic stop for an expired temporary tag. He was transferred to the Riverside Police Department. He was also cited for driving under suspension.

Robert A. Chandler, 39, of Jenks, Oklahoma, was arrested for domestic violence after an incident at the Super 8 Motel on National Road. He was taken to the county jail.

March 12

A stolen U-Haul Pickup truck was discovered parked in front of the Airport Inn and Parking on Corporate Center Drive. The suspect could not be located. The vehicle was towed.

March 13

While doing routine license plate checks at the Knights Inn, Tyler Walters, 40, of Dayton, was found to have a felony warrant out of Clark County for receiving stolen property. He was arrested and taken to the Montgomery County Jail.

William M. Trimble, 54, was arrested on a probation violation warrant out of Vandalia Municipal Court on an original charge of criminal trespassing. He was taken to the county jail.

March 14

An unknown female attempted to fill a fake prescription at Hock’s Pharmacy. She then went to Rite Aid. Video of the suspect was obtained. The investigation continues.

Latonya S. Davis, 35, was arrested on a warrant out of Vandalia Municipal Court for domestic violence after a traffic stop for speeding. She was given a warning for speeding and transported to the county jail.

A female reported going to an address on Kirkwood Drive to collect a debt and had a gun pointed at her by a juvenile male. The mother of the juvenile consented to a search and multiple drugs and drug paraphernalia were found. The juvenile was taken into custody for questioning by detectives. The investigation continues.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Skyview Dr. on the report of a domestic violence incident. The suspect fled the scene. The investigation continues.
