Vandalia Police Reports

VANDALIA – The following police reports were received from the Vandalia Division of Police. All subjects are innocent until found guilty in court of law.

September 22

While counting cash drawers from the previous day’s business, the Rite Aid found two counterfeit $20 bills. The investigation continues.

A complainant on Greenhurst Dr. reported that someone damaged two vehicles in his driveway. The investigation continues.

September 23

A complainant reported that a car with unknown registration struck his vehicle and left the scene at Jim’s Donuts. The investigation continues.

While investigating another incident, management at the McDonald’s on National Road reported that two counterfeit $20 bills had been passed the previous day. The investigation continues.

A 14-year old juvenile was charged with being unruly after leaving home without permission and refusing to come home. The case was referred to Juvenile Court.

Donald V. Burke, III, 32, was arrested for assault after an incident at the Knight’s Inn on Poe Ave. After fleeing, he came to the police department to be served with a summons.

September 24

A complainant on Continental Court reported that a known suspect has continued to harass her by posting comments on Craigslist. The suspect has previously been convicted of telecommunications harassment. The investigation continues.

Jamila I. Stokes, 39, of the U.S. Virgin Islands was charged with grand theft of an auto after picking up a vehicle at Discount Tire that was not hers. She was taken to the county jail.

Rosemary C. Stalter, 39, was arrested for domestic violence. She was taken to the Montgomery County Jail.

A postal carrier reported what he suspected to be marijuana in the mailbox at an address on W. Alkaline Springs Road. The suspected marijuana was booked into the police property room.

An officer investigated a complaint of an assault on Stop Eight Road. The investigation continues.

Laryan E. Brooks, 27, was arrested on a warrant out of Moraine for failure to appear on a traffic case. He was issued a summons with the consent of Kettering Municipal Court.

Randall S. Cox, 42, was arrested for disorderly conduct/public intoxication after being found lying on the sidewalk on Karns. He was transported to Good Samaritan North and issued a summons.

An officer investigated a counterfeit bill received at Arby’s.
