VANDALIA – The program at the May 26 dinner meeting of the Vandalia Lions Club featured presentation of Outstanding Achievement Awards for the 2015 Year to personnel of the Vandalia & ButlerTownship Police and Fire Departments. Police Chief Lion Doug Knight served as Program Chairman and noted that this is the 27th year that the Club has hosted this Awards Program.
Butler Township Fire Lt. Scott Lutz presented the Fire Person Of The Year Award to Corey Mock, and the Paramedic Award to Todd Flohre (not present re: prior commitment). Butler Township Police Lt. Chris Guthrie presented the Officer of the Year Award to Brian Brown.
Vandalia Fire Dept. Chief Chad Follick named Brian Ziegenbusch as their Fire Person of the Year, and Brent Gallup as the Paramedic of the Year (both absent due to prior commitments). Vandalia Police Chief Doug Knight presented the Officer Of the Year Award to Detective Jennifer Chiles, and the Civilian Employ of the Year Award to Public Safety Specialist, Deborah Wright (not present re: prior commitment).
