Vandalia Police Reports April 3-13

VANDALIA – The following police reports were received from the Vandalia Division of Police. All subjects are innocent until found guilty in court of law.

April 3

A resident on Bright Ave. reported that unknown persons damaged the privacy fence on his property. The investigation continues.

Korey M. Day, 18, was issued a summons for possession of marijuana after officers responded to the report of a car chasing another on W. Alkaline Springs Road.

April 5

Brian L. Lacey, 46, was arrested for possession of drug instruments after being observed injecting a substance into his arm at the Flying J Travel Plaza on Northwoods Blvd. He was also arrested on a warrants for probation violation out of Miami and Montgomery Counties. He was taken to the Montgomery County Jail.

A resident of the Montgomery Development Center was removed from the Vandalia Branch Library after causing a disturbance. He was taken to his residence.

April 6

An officer responded to Airport Toyota on the report of two checks returned for non-sufficient funds. The investigation continues.

James Jervis, 45, was arrested on multiple warrants out of Clinton County for marijuana possession, failure to appear on a child support hearing, failure to appear for driving under suspension, and failure to appear after indictment for non-support of dependents as well as a warrant out of Greene County for trespassing. He was transferred to the custody of a Xenia police officer.

Michaela L.Snell, 22, was issued a citation for driving under suspension, expired license plates, and use of illegal license plates after a stop on E. National Road. She was released.

A resident on Dellsing Dr. reported that someone stole her credit card and made unathorized purchases. The investigation continues.

A 14-year old juvenile was charged with being unruly after running away from home. The case was referred to Montgomery County Juvenile Court.

Hertz Car Rental reported that a car was rented and not returned. It was entered into LEADS as stolen.

The West Central Ohio Retrieving Club reported that they suspect the past treasurer stole funds. The investigation continues.

April 7

Jimmy Armstrong, 60, was cited for menacing by stalking.

Dylan J. Crickmore, 24, was cited for expired registration and driving under suspension after a traffic stop on Stop Eight Road. His vehicle was towed.

April 8

License plates were confiscated from a vehicle on Timberlake Dr. per order of the Ohio BMV.

Unknown persons entered a room at the Travelodge on Poe Avenue and took items. The investigation continues.

A manager at the Waffle House reported the cash register was short when taking over on her shift. The investigation continues.

Officers responded to an address on Continental Court on the report of an assault. The investigation continues.

Erique D. Smith, 26, was issued a summons for disorderly conduct and criminal mischief after an incident at the Ruby Tuesday restaurant on Miller Lane. He was also issued a notice of criminal trespass.

Christopher W. Kemper, 28, was arrested on a pair of warrants out of Vandalia Municipal Court for drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop. He was taken to the Montgomery County Jail.

A stolen vehicle was recovered from the Super Eight Motel on E. National Road.

April 10

Connor T. McDowell, 28, was issued a summons for possession of marijuana, marijuana paraphernalia, and a red light violation after a stop on S. Dixie Dr.

April 11

Bradley Plummer, 24, was arrested on a warrant out of Butler Township for theft after responding to the Knights Inn on a disorderly conduct complaint. He was taken to the Montgomery County Jail.

Kristen N. Warnock, 32, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and a warrant out of Vandalia Municipal Court on a traffic offense after a welfare check. She was taken to the county jail.

April 13

James G. Guinn, 39, was issued a summons for menacing after an incident on Tionda Dr.
