Fair Valley Swim Club to host luau

BUTLER TOWNSHIP — The Fair Valley Swim Club will host a Luau at the pool on Saturday, June 27, from 7-11 p.m. Tickets are $25 dollars which includes dinner, music and lots of fun – maybe even a limbo or two. Vacation Bible School offered in West Milton

WEST MILTON – West Milton Church of the Nazarene is offering daily Vacation Bible School ‘SonSpark Labs & Test Tubes’ July 13 – 17. Brookville 5K Picnic Run set for July 25

BROOKVILLE – Runners and walkers are invited to participate in the 25th annual Brookville 5K Picnic Run, which will be held on Saturday, July 25 at Golden Gate Park in Brookville. This new 5K course will take runners/walkers over a country road and city streets. The event begins at 8 a.m. from Golden Gate Park. Pre-registration is available at You can pick up a registration form at the Brookville Chamber of Commerce. The entry fee is $25 with a T-shirt, if postmarked by July 15. Participants may also register on race day for $25, without guarantee of T-shirt. Proceeds from this event benefit the Brookville Band music program. Phillipsburg Airport to host car & plane show

PHILLIPSBURG — A car and plane show will be held Saturday, June 27 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Phillipsburg Airport located at 53 North State St. There is construction in the area but follow the signs. The show will feature airplane rides, airplane displays, R/C controlled, aircraft and demonstrations, a car show with awards, a food truck rally, crafts and vendors, a kids’ bounce house, face painting and clowns. There will also be a silent auction including airplane tours, gift cards and local vendor items and a craft show with local vendors. There will be something for everyone and loads of family fun. Proceeds benefit A Special Wish Foundation, Inc.

Kiser High School Heritage Day Festival slated

HUBER HEIGHTS — The Kiser High School Alumni’s annual Heritage Day Festival fish fry will be held July 18 at the Elks Lodge #58, 2801 Troy Pike beginning at 5 p.m. The cost is $12 in advance, $15 at the door. There will also be a $500 raffle drawing and other raffles and games. All proceeds benefit the Kiser High School Scholarship. Honorees this year are band members, cheerleaders, majorettes, and Pantherettes. A limited number of tickets will be sold.

HUBER HEIGHTS — Kiser High School alumni meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of each month (except November and December) at the American Legion Post 200 which is at 5046 Nebraska Avenue, Huber Heights. Artists, parade participants sought for Englewood Art Festival

ENGLEWOOD — Applications from artists and parade participants for the 42nd annual Englewood Art Festival, Saturday August 8 and Sunday August 9, 2015, are now being accepted by the Englewood Festival and Arts Commission. The parade is a prelude to all of the festival activities and will take place on Union Boulevard at 9 a.m. Saturday August 8. Artists are asked to submit photos of their handmade original designs for review by the 2015 Festival Exhibitors Committee. Vandalia Lions Club meets twice monthly

VANDALIA — The Vandalia Lions Club holds dinner meetings on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month at the Cassel Hills Golf Clubhouse at 6:30 p.m. The club does not hold dinner meetings in July or August. Programs include speakers covering topical subjects.
