Children’s activities at Vandalia library

VANDALIA — The Dayton Metro Library has announced the following children’s activities at the Vandalia branch library for July:


Mondays, 6/15-7/30. 12:30 p.m. for ages 3-6. Tuesdays, 7:00 p.m. for ages 3-8. Thursdays, 10:00 a.m. for ages 3-6. Join us for stories, songs and other fun learning activities.

Toddler Tales

Wednesdays, 6/17-7/29, 11:00 a.m. Your little ones will enjoy music, rhymes, stories and fingerplays designed just for them. Ages 18 months-2 years.

Meet Ruby & Annie from the MVPTA

Tuesday, 7/7, 2:00 p.m. Meet Ruby, a Labradoodle and Annie, a Collie, and learn about the Miami Valley Pet Therapy Association. Ages 5-12.

3rd/4th Grade Summer Book Club

Monday, 7/13, 6:30 p.m. A book club for 3rd and 4th graders. Read and talk about good books, have snacks and do fun projects. Parents welcome.

Glass Paperweight Craft

Tuesday, 7/14, 2:00 p.m. Make a glass paperweight or magnet. All supplies provided, but bring a small photo or picture if you want. Ages 5-12.

Lea Craine Magic Show

Tuesday, 7/21, 2:00 p.m. It’s comedy, magic and a live box turtle with Lea Craine.

Superhero Paper Airplane Olympics

Tuesday, 7/28, 2:00 p.m. Learn how to fold two different paper airplanes, then test how well they fly and hit targets. Snacks and prizes too. Grades 3-5. Advance registration required.
