Morning Discovery Walks for Adults
Thursdays, October 11, 18, and 25 from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. Join Sam Romeo, Aullwood Environmental Educator, on this fun walk as we experience the fall landscape, birds and other exciting discoveries. Meet in the lobby of the Nature Center for the start of morning discovery walks. Bring binoculars! Members of Aullwood and National Audubon Society are admitted free, non-member admission is $7.00. Why do Leaves Change Color? Walk
Sunday, October 21 starting at 2:30 p.m. Collect different colors and shapes of leaves at Aullwood. Learn which trees the leaves came from and create a fall-inspired piece of artwork from your leaf collection. (Center)
Animal Meet and Greet
Saturday, October 27 starting at 2:30 p.m. Visit the Nature Center and meet some of Aullwood’s animals up close and personal. Feel the hard shell of one of the box turtles, look for the queen bee in the bee hive, touch one of the scaly snakes and participate in a Q and A. (Center)
General admission is $7/adult and $5/child unless otherwise noted with an asterisk (*). Members of Friends of Aullwood and National Audubon Society are admitted free.
