VANDALIA – The following police reports were received from the Vandalia Division of Police. All subjects are innocent until found guilty in court of law.
An officer found an abandoned trailer at the end of Top Notch Court. The trailer had no identifying marks or a license plate. It was towed for safe keeping.
The manager of Dayton Discount Furniture reported that an entry door was shattered but still intact. Investigation revealed it may have been a small object such as a BB pellet that struck the window. The investigation continues.
An officer responded to Morton Middle School on the report of a sexting complaint involving a female student who sent nude photos to two male students. The investigation continues.
A complainant on Homestretch Road reported the theft by a known person of firearms and approximately $150 in change while he was out of town. The investigation continues.
Unknown suspects entered an address on Foley Dr. and piled up electronics on the floor in a living room. The suspects fled before taking any items. The investigation continues.
An unknown suspect attempted to get into a residence on Cyril Court. The investigation continues.
Roy Davidson was arrested for domestic violence after an incident on Helke Road. He was taken to the county jail.
Nakia D. Snow was arrested on a warrant out of Vandalia Municipal Court for failure to appear on an original charge of OVI. She was taken to the county jail.
A 17 year old juvenile female was charged with being unruly after leaving home without permission. She was located the next day in Springfield and returned home.
The manager of the Flying J caught a white male shoplifting music CD’s from the store. The subject fled in a white Chevrolet. The investigation continues.
A vehicle was towed from Skyview Dr. after a resident reported an abandoned vehicle and a 48-hour tow notice was not responded to.
After a call regarding a suspicious vehicle, an officer stopped the vehicle on Bailey Ave. The driver revealed he had never had a driver’s license. He was cited for no operator’s license and the vehicle towed.
Caleb Robert David Johnston was arrested for grand theft auto after officers were dispatched to an address on Imperial Court on the report of a motorcycle theft in progress. He was taken to the county jail.
Mitchell L. Jackson was arrested on a warrant out of Vandalia Municipal Court. He posted bond at the police department and was transported home.
A complainant on Crestwood Hills Dr. reported a trailer license plate as stolen. The investigation continues.
Plates were removed from a vehicle parked at the Knights Inn per a BMV confiscation order.
Noelle E. Price was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after officers responded to Eastview Ave. on the report of a suspicious vehicle. She was transported to the county jail. A juvenile male in the vehicle was cited for underage possession of tobacco products and was released to a family member.
Olivia Stover was arrested for domestic violence after an incident on Rader Dr. She was taken to the county jail.
A complainant reported her purse stolen from the Kroger on Northwoods Blvd. and her debit card used for three purchases in West Chester. The investigation continues.
A resident on Marcellus Dr. reported old jewelry missing. The resident suspects known individuals. The investigation continues.
A resident on Crestgrove Ave. reported a license plate stolen from a vehicle. The investigation continues.
Ernest Sanchez was arrested for OVI after a stop on Webster St. near Little York. He was released to a sober friend.
An officer stopped blue Hyundai on Poe Ave. for only having one headlight and no working license plate light. The driver was found to be under suspension. He was cited and the vehicle towed.
