Sandra Levin Klein

VANDALIA — Sandra Levin Klein of Vandalia, Ohio passed away peacefully on the evening of Oct. 30th at the age of 80 as a result of complications from renal failure. Sandii, as she was known to most of her friends and family, was a real estate agent/broker for over 35 years. She is survived by her children Pamela Klein (San Rafael, CA), Garry Klein (Iowa City, IA), Michael Klein (Woodstock, GA), and Debra Belcher (Vandalia, OH); Daughters-in-law Michelle Klein, Betsy Klein, and Son-in-law Rocky Belcher; and former husbands Donald M. Klein and Robert E. Barber, Jr. To her beloved grandchildren, Christina and Colin Klein, Orien and Alyssa Belcher, and great-grandchild, Jordan, she was Grandii who loved them unconditionally. She is also survived by her dog/companion, Baby who was at her bedside at her life’s end. Preceding her in death were her parents Harry and Sylvia Levin, and her brother, Richard Levin.

Sandii grew up in Chicago, Ill. but settled in the Dayton area in 1971 where she became a licensed Realtor and was a top seller and Million Dollar Sales club member many times at Roth, Lubow, Century 21 Kittyhawk, Investmark, Re/Max, and Fischer & Associates agencies. She enjoyed reading; assembling colorful and complicated jig-saw puzzles; and was well-known for a vast collection of ornamental owls. She was an avid dog lover and cared for many dogs, which she treated as members of the family. She was extremely compassionate and helped many individuals in their time of need.

In honoring her and her life’s work, there will be an Open House celebrating her life on Saturday, Dec. 5th from 1 to 5 p.m. in Vandalia, OH. For more information, contact (937)602-2986. In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor can be made to the Montgomery County Animal Resource Center, of which she was a supporter, or Hospice of Dayton, to whom her family is indebted for their attention and care. Finally, the family would like to thank the caring people at Spring Hills at Singing Woods for their deeply respectful, loving treatment of our Mother in the last months of her life.
