Girls golf teams competed Friday at the Greater Western Ohio Conference Preseason Tournament.

ARCANUM — The girls Greater Western Ohio Conference Preseason Tournament at Beechwood Golf Course brought no surprises with Centerville dominating play with a first place score of 308. The Lady Elks had four players finish among the top eight.

Two other southern Miami Valley Schools finished back-to-back with Miamisburg second at 351 and Springboro third with a 352. Northmont finished a distant fourth at 416 out of the 13 participating schools.

Leading the field was Amanda Hayes (Centerville) with a 74 followed by Alexis Savage (Springboro) 75, Marissa Wentzler (Centerville) 76, Kayla Ramsey (Centerville) 76, Allison Rang (Miamisburg) 79, Hannah McCrabb (Springboro) 80, Megan Munn (Centerville) 82, and Chloe Wampler (Miamisburg) 85.

Kaitlyn Jackson led 11th place Butler with a low round of 99.

“Jackson shot a 99, with a birdie on 17th, one of the hardest holes on the course,” said Butler Coach Carrie Thiel.

Jackson was followed by sophomore Hailee Perry (47th) with 118, followed by senior Hope Nischwitz (133) and freshman Breanne Kroeker (134).

Junior Heidi Weeks of Wayne finished 11th overall with a round of 93. She was followed by juniors Jennifer Hammond (117), Lauren Daily (136) and Gloria Boyer (155).

Hannah Toth led Northmont with a round of 98. Junior Amari Tipple shot a 101, senior Morgan Sterner 102, and junior Maddie Jaehnen had a 119.
