Hoffman earns Coach of the Year honors

ARCANUM — The Butler girls golf team placed eleventh at the Greater Western Ohio Conference postseason tournament on Thursday at Beechwood Golf Course.

Centerville won the event with a score of 310. Springboro and Lebanon placed second and third respectively.

Butler had a team score of 428. Hailee Perry was a medalist with Butler’s top score or 93. Kaitlyn Jackson followed with a 102, Lexi Crawford with a 113, Breanne Kroeker with a 120, and Elly Dukes with a 130.

In addition, coach Dee Hoffman was named the GWOC North Coach of the Year.

“As our season is coming to end I’m proud of the girls,” said Hoffman. “We won three more matches than last year. They were improving every game. WE finished GWOC 11th. I was named coach of the year! Wow I was so shocked and thrilled.
