GREENVILLE — The Vandalia Gold 8U baseball team traveled to Greenville over the weekend and won the 2nd Annual Tyler Kuhn Memorial Tournament. The team was undefeated in four games.

“This is a group of kids that played in the Vandalia Recreation Center league Coach Pitch Division,” said coach Jeff Bardonaro. “Other than three practices this was our first chance to play together in a tournament format. A couple of times when they got down in games they never faltered and they fought back. They stayed together, learned that defense wins games and had some fun. They did the things that we know they can do.I am Very proud of how the kids are coming together. This is a really good group of kids who are working to get better and our very good baseball players for such a young age.”

The team will play in West Milton July 1-2 and Tipp City July 8-9.
