VANDALIA — For the fifth consecutive year, the Butler boys’ basketball program has an athlete moving on to play at the next level.

Senior Zach Ledbetter will be attending Edison College in the fall and playing basketball for the Chargers. Ledbetter led the Aviators in points (14.4 per game) and rebounds (5.1) per game this year and received high praise from fellow players and coaches. Ledbetter was voted captain and MVP of the 2015-2016 Aviators.

“Led earned this opportunity through hard work and his performance on the court,” Coach DJ Wyrick said.

Ledbetter says he’s looking forward to continuing his basketball career.

“I’m glad I am (being) given the opportunity to play at the next level,” Ledbetter said.

Last year, Edison went 12-19.
