AKRON — Isabella Anene reclaimed the school record for triple jump Saturday with a big jump of 33 feet, 9.25 inches at the State Indoor Track and Field Meet at the University of Akron.

Anene made finals and placed seventh to medal. She took the record back from Corina Kreill (previous record 33-0.5). Corina finished 13th on Saturday with a mark of 32-11.

Emma Bryant finished 11th in the 1600 meter run with a time of 5:15.14.

“This was the first state meet appearance for both jumpers, and they handled the big stage very well,” said coach Kyle Schoenherr. “They showed great poise, were focused, and competed very well. They should be proud of their accomplishments, and I’m proud of the way they represented themselves, their families, and Butler High School.”
