Suddeth qualifies for State

Butler freshman Josh Suddeth has qualified for State after a fourth place finish at the Kettering District. Teammates David Jobe and Bailey Suddeth also placed at District, both finishing sixth.

KETTERING — Butler freshman Josh Suddeth is leaving his mark on the Butler record books after becoming the first Butler High School freshman to qualify for the OHSAA State Wrestling Championships.

Josh Suddeth will compete at Ohio State University starting Thursday, March 3. The freshman qualified for the next round by placing fourth at the District finals at Trent Arena, Saturday, Feb. 27.

David Jobe and Bailey Suddeth came up just short at Districts, placing in 6th place. The Butler team finished in 15th place with Nick Coyle, Dustin Stevenson, Walker James and Dylan Sagers all winning matches at Districts. Ethan Cyrette also qualified for Districts.
