Butler Baseball Clinics

VANDALIA — Join Butler High School Baseball staff and players for preseason instruction and development. Participants will receive quality instruction from coaches who are responsible for the success of the Butler program over the past fifteen seasons. The clinics will include the infield play, outfield play, pitching, catching mechanics, hitting mechanics, bunting and base running. For grades 3-8 boys. The cost is $15 for Residents and $20 for Non-Residents. The clinic will be held on Sunday, March 6 from 4-7 p.m.

Retired Men’s Golf Leagues offered at Homestead

TIPP CITY – Homestead Golf Men’s Retired Leagues for Wednesday and/or Friday mornings will have an open enrollment and league rules meeting at Homestead at 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 13. Homestead is located at 5327 Worley Road, Tipp City.

Interested men retired or older than 55 years of age are invited. Yearly fees of $20 per league are payable April 9 or by start of golf league. Golf balls are awarded for weekly prizes.

Anticipated start of league play will be April 27 and April 29.

This notice will be sent with a return postcard to last year’s players. If you played last year and didn’t receive a card, call Jim Schumacher, secretary at 698-4412 or email jschu122@yahoo.com. New applicants may address response to Homestead Golf Course 698-4876 or Jim Schumacher 698-4412.

Vandalia Rec baseball/softball registration begins

VANDALIA — Is your child ready to play ball? Be sure to sign them up early to reserve their spot in this year’s VPRD baseball/softball league. IMPORTANT: Teams are drawn in mid-March and practice will begin in late March. Practices are held during weekdays, evenings and on Saturdays. Participants will be notified of team placement by the child’s specific coach. The first games are scheduled for late April and the last games are scheduled for July. Games are scheduled on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings and on Saturdays. The cost is $70 Residents/VRC Members; $90 Non-Residents. Leagues ran from ages 5 to 18 years old.

Vandalia Rec Adult League Free Agent List

VANDALIA — Are you interested in participating in an adult league with VPRD, but don’t have a whole team to sign up? Now is your chance to be part of a team! Contact Alicia at 415-2347 or amccracken@vandaliaohio.org to be placed on the Free Agent list. This list will be available to any teams signing up looking for players or if there are enough people interested, we will create a team. Please provide name, primary phone number, email address, and the league of interest.
