BOWLING GREEN — Butler senior Corina Kreill broke the school record for triple jump at the Dave Wottle Open, held at Bowling Green State University on Saturday, Feb. 21.

Her mark of 33 feet, one-half inch was just a half inch past the prior record of 33 feet, established last spring by teammate Isabella Anene.

“It was really fun to compete at Bowling Green,” said Kreill, who plans to attend the university next fall to study early childhood development. “Triple jump in a new event for me this year, and it’s been so much fun training with Isabella. We’re both working hard on technique, and we’re excited to take a few more shots at it this spring.”

Both Kreill and Anene are currently well-positioned for a chance to qualify for the state indoor championships at The University of Akron on Saturday, March 5.
