Williams throws out first pitch in Canada


Jack Williams III, a resident of Vandalia, was honored by throwing the opening pitch for the Okotoks Dawgs at Seaman Stadium in Calgary Alberta on June 22. Williams is a former member of Vandalia Stealth baseball and Tipp City Storm baseball teams. The Okotoks Dawgs (formerly the Calgary Dawgs, Alberta Canada) are in the Western Major Baseball League (WMBL) and won championships in the 2007, 2008 and 2009 seasons. Begun in 1995 as an elite youth development program based in the City of Calgary, AB, the Dawgs have developed numerous premier youth, collegiate and professional players.
