Butler bowlers sweep Xenia

BEAVERCREEK — The Butler varsity boys and girls bowling teams were both victorious yestersday versus Xenia at Beaver-Vu Bowl in Beavercreek.

The boys improved their record to 3-0 with a 2573-2466 win. High for the boys was Nick Hughes with a match high score of 486 (244-242), followed by Paul Sacks with a 450 (224-226) set. Andrew Kapis rolled a 205 game and Brandon Warner added a 196. Austen Brush, Noah Detrick, Drew Sacks and Jordan Tompkins all made significant contributions to the team victory.

On the girls side, Jessica Sacks shot the high score for the match, rolling a 379 (188-191) set as the girls improved to 2-0 in the 2135-1930 win. Savannah Hoke added a 186 game and Julia Helke a 183. All 7 on varsity, including Lauren Davis, Becca Helke, Alex Kapis and Megan Zins scored for the Aviators.

The JV girls won while the JV boys lost. The girls were led by Stephanie Crider who rolled a 276 (144-132) set. For the boys JV, Aaron Seelbaugh was high with a personal high 385 (217-168) set.
