Wee Aviators gearing up for new season

VANDALIA — The Butler Wee Aviators are busy practicing in anticipation of the opening weekend of the Western Ohio Junior Football Conference (WOJFC) season on Aug. 22.

Teams and their cheerleading squads are practicing each evening at the Vandalia Recreation Center.

In addition to Vandalia, the WOJFC features teams in Bantam through sixth grades from Fairborn, Greenville, Jamestown, Kettering, Mad River (Stebbins), Meadowdale, Miamisburg, Springboro, Springfield, Huber Heights, West Carrollton, and Wilmington.

Teams will open the season on Aug. 15 with a Premier Week game that does not count in the standings.  They will then begin an 8-week regular season followed by a tournament.
