I just read the letter by Alex Kolodesh printed in the December 24, 2015 edition of the Vandalia Drummer News. Regardless of how one feels about Mr. Kolodesh and Singer Properties, the letter is very well written.
However, I am troubled by the last sentence in the third paragraph of that letter. He seems to imply that he is promoting the best interests of Butler Township because, as he puts it, “In Butler Township, I am one of those residents.”
For all I know he may rent or lease a home or apartment in Butler Township, but he and his wife, Shayna Singer Kolodesh, own a home (through trusts) in Oakwood. The Auditor’s records indicate they receive a real estate tax credit for “owner occupancy.”
