DAYTON — Montgomery County Department of Job and Family Services (MCDJFS), Social Services & Income Support Division (SSIS) will implement a reduced Call Center operations schedule effective Dec. 1.
The new hours of operation for the Call Center will be Monday through Friday, 8:15 a.m. – 5 p.m. The agency will remain open to the public Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
The SSIS Division is committed to continually providing quality customer service. Reducing the agency’s phone hours will allow for a better allocation of resources and increase the number of representatives available at the start and end of each business day.
SSIS will continue to provide 100 percent of its existing services during the new operating hours. This includes alternative resources, such as the change report voicemail line (937-496-7717), change report email address (MC_CallCenter @JFS.OHIO.GOV) and “Ask the Experts” email box (MCDJFS@JFS.OHIO.GOV).
Additionally, there are online services available through the state web portals that can be accessed 24 hours a day with options to apply for benefits, report changes, check case statuses and retrieve benefit verification printouts. These are available at www.odjfsbenefits.ohio.gov.
