Vandalia Police Reports

VANDALIA – The following police reports were received from the Vandalia Division of Police. All subjects are innocent until found guilty in court of law.

September 14

William Pugh was arrested on a warrant out of Clark County after a traffic stop for speeding on W. National Road. He was released with a summons to appear.

September 15

James G. King, Jr. was arrested for OVI after being found unresponsive in the driver’s seat of a vehicle at a Flying J gas pump. He was released to his mother.

Police were dispatched to an address on Clubhouse Way where a complainant reported that a male came to her home and told her that her estranged husband wanted to pay him to “off” her. Police advised the woman to file for a protection order. The investigation continues.

A janitor at Butler High School heard people on the roof of the school. Police released the two pending further investigation by the school.

September 16

A juvenile male was charged with criminal trespassing after going to the McDonald’s on National Road after being trespassed from the property in May. He was returned to his residence and referred to Juvenile Court.

Ladonte Ealy was arrested on a bench warrant out of Xenia Municipal Court for probation violation on a theft charge. He was transferred to Xenia police at Edwin C. Moses and I-75.

Steven Whitehurst was arrested for OVI/Physical Control after being found in the driver’s seat of a semi truck at the Flying J Travel Center. He was taken to the county jail.

September 17

Police located a stolen Suburban and unknown suspect at the Super 8 Motel but the subject fled south on I-75 at a high rate of speed. The investigation continues.

A complainant on Kenbrook Drive reported an unknown person broke into their locked vehicles and stole items. The investigation continues.

Police responded to an address on Sussex Place on the report of a missing 15-year old juvenile. The investigation continues.

September 18

A complainant reported that a known person cashed his paycheck but did not give him all the money. The investigation continues.

A juvenile female left home and did not return. She was placed in LEADS as a missing/runaway.

September 19

Alexis Myers was arrested on a warrant out of Miamisburg Municipal Court for failure to appear. Myers was transported to the county jail.

Tonya Rice was arrested on a warrant out of Vandalia Municipal Court for failure to comply with probation on an original charge of OVI/Physical Control. She was taken to the county jail.

Diamond Smith was arrested on a warrant out of Kettering Municipal Court for contempt of court. She was taken to the county jail.

September 20

A pharmacist at Kroger reported someone called in and picked up a fraudulent prescription. The investigation continues.
