Butler Township Police Activity

BUTLER TOWNSHIP — The following police activity report was received from the Butler Township Police Department. All subjects are innocent until found guilty in a court of law.

October 1

Frederick Pike, found item, found purse on side off road by horseback rider.

Steak n Shake, theft by deception, Investigation revealed that between 9-30-17 at 2230 hours and 0600 hours on 10-01-17, unknown suspect(s) uttered a fake $100.00 bill at Steak and Shake in the drive thru as payment for food. The suspects obtained an unknown amount of change for the transaction.

Walmart, suspicious person, responded to Walmart for a suspicious female in the store for four hours. The female was found to have a warrant for a probation violation and was arrested and trespassed. The female was later found at the jail to have a stolen debit card in her bra.

Walmart, drug paraphernalia, Dispatched to Walmart in reference to a suspicious person. I was flagged down by the witness in an unrelated matter in reference to the suspect having his cell phone and wanting a ransom to get it back. I made contact with the suspect, and she returned the phone. In an unrelated offense, she was found to have been trespassed for a theft on 08-16-2017 and had drug paraphernalia in her possession.

October 2

Bob Evans, Suspected overdose. Operator apparently unconscious behind wheel of car parked in parking lot. No response while banging on windows. Butler Fire Department personnel broke right rear window to gain entry into vehicle. Suspect stated he was tired and sleeping as he worked multiple jobs. Declined treatment or evaluation. Suspect instructed to not drive his vehicle and to have a friend come and get him and vehicle.

Walnut Ridge, Domestic dispute between husband and wife. Husband left residence.

October 4

Dog Leg, drug paraphernalia, Traffic stop for stop sign violation, K9 alert on vehicle. 2 metal grinders located in vehicle, driver charged for possession of paraphernalia and stop sign violation.

Walmart, theft without consent, : Investigation reveals that two suspects removed a cart with $419.94 worth of merchandise, from Walmart, without paying, without consent. One suspect was found to have a plastic baggy with powdery residue that he conveyed into the jail at book-in.

October 5

Red Roof Inn, Subject with felony warrants attempted to flee on foot from a vehicle and was caught in the Red Roof Inn parking lot. Drug paraphernalia was located in a bag inside this vehicle but nobody will be charged and the (2) scales will be marked for destruction.

Walmart, theft, On Thursday, October 05, 2017 at 1027 hours, I was dispatched to Walmart located at 3465 York Commons Boulevard, in Butler Township, Montgomery County, Ohio, on a report of a shoplifter in custody for theft.

Smokey Bones, Subject entered Smokey Bones seeking employment. Subject asked to leave, but refused. Subject located at Burger King. Subject trespassed from Smokey Bones and Burger King.

Burger King, criminal trespass, Subject was trespassed from the Burger King and personally served with a criminal trespass notice that he refused to sign. Moments later I observed him walking in the very same Burger king parking lot. Subject was arrested and charged.

October 6

Walmart, theft, On Friday, October 6, 2017, I was dispatched to Walmart for a theft. The suspect had already left prior police arrival.

Walmart, theft, Subject shoplifted from Walmart. Suspect was booked into the Montgomery County Jail.

Walmart, theft without consent, Dispatched to Walmart for a theft in progress. Suspect was located at an adjacent business. He was arrested and charged.

Haloran, assault, A group home resident alleged that she was assaulted by a staff member on October 5, 2017.

Walmart, theft without consent, A female suspect removed a cart full of merchandise from Walmart without paying for them. Suspect was arrested for petty theft and possession of criminal tools.

October 7

Walnut Ridge, domestic violence, On 10/07/17, Officers responded to 6XXX Walnut Ridge Road on a domestic violence complaint. The suspect had fled the scene, but he was later apprehended at an address in Lewisburg and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Red Roof Inn, theft of vehicle, Trailer taken from Red Roof Inn with ATV loaded. GPS unit tracked to 6625 W. Third St, which was in a middle of a field. GPS unit collected, no further evidence at this time.

Deana M. Stacy, 40, unauthorized use of property

Ronald E. Shawan, 43, warrants for drug possession, drug paraphernalia, driving without license, drug abuse instruments

Daniel K. Hatmaker, 37, criminal trespass

Mason J. Coston, 23, theft

Byron T. Woods, 40, theft

Rhobyn I. Waggoner, 40, theft

Kevin W. Mickens, 21, theft without consent

Mykeal J. Jackson, 20, possessing criminal tools, theft without consent

Joshua M. Burns, warrants (2) for failure to appear

Alexander C. Caripides, 24, domestic violence

Joshuaq A. Leist, 30, disorderly conduct/intoxication
