Butler Township Police Activity

BUTLER TOWNSHIP — The following police activity report was received from the Butler Township Police Department. All subjects are innocent until found guilty in a court of law.

September 17

Flamingo Tan, drug paraphernalia, investigation revealed that an intoxicated female entered Flamingo Tan, with an open bottle of Irish Rose Wine and caused inconvenience and annoyance to customers, resulting in someone calling police. The suspect was also found to have a crack pipe in her possession.

Miller lane, expired plate, Investigation revealed that during a stop for failing to signal a turn and expired tags, the driver was found to be in possession of less than 100 grams of marijuana and marijuana drug paraphernalia.

Walmart, theft, Subject concealed items into a bag. Subject proceeded to checkout, where she paid for some items and departed the store with the concealed and unpaid for items. Suspect was summoned into the court for theft.

September 18

Larissa Court, forgery, Victim ordered a chair, which was delivered to her neighbors. Victim contacted business who sent delivery person to the home. Delivery person made contact with resident where the chair was delivered. Resident had discarded the chair. Victim and delivery person provided delivery document with victim’s signature.

Miller Lane, possession of marijuana, Investigation revealed that during a suspicious vehicle call, 3 suspects were found to be in possession of marijuana, a scale, and a schedule IV narcotic, while in the lot of Bob Evans after it was closed.

Peters Pike @ Little York, OVI, Responded to hit and run crash. Driver found to be OVI and was arrested.

September 19

Peters Pike, theft without consent, Responded to Dick Smith Auto Sales for theft in progress.

Walmart, Subject selling incense in parking lot and disturbing customers. Trespassed upon request of Walmart.

Silver Rock, criminal damaging, Complainant reported that someone removed a pane of glass from a small window and broke the corner of the glass. No entry was made into the residence.

Benchwood Road @ Towne Center, open container violation, While conducting a traffic stop for display of expired license plates and driving under suspension, I located a plastic cup containing an alcoholic beverage (beer) on the passenger side floorboard. After being advised of his Miranda Rights, the driver and registered owner of this vehicle admitted the cup of beer belonged to him. The suspect has been issued citations for DUS, expired license plates, and a summons in lieu of arrest for consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle. The passenger of the vehicle was arrested on an unrelated warrant, and I transported to the Montgomery County jail.

September 20

Pine Valley, theft, On Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 0804 hours, Officer Ashworth and I were dispatched to Pine Valley on a report of theft from a motor vehicle.

September 21

Walmart, theft, Dispatched to Walmart on a theft. Suspect charged with theft.

Forest Green Court, phone harassment, On this date I was dispatched to this address on a report of phone harassment. A report was taken and the suspect was notified.

September 22

Roselake, theft, Dispatched to residence on a theft from a motor vehicle.

Little York, criminal damaging, On this date I was dispatched to this address on a complaint of criminal damaging. A report was taken.

September 23

Extended Stay America, disorderly conduct, Responded to hotel for disorderly female in the lobby.

Walmart, theft without consent, Dispatched to Walmart for a male concealing merchandise. Suspect arrested for theft after last point of sale was crossed without attempt to pay for concealed merchandise.

Miller Lane, possession of marijuana, Investigation reveals that a driver was stopped for an expired plate. The driver was also under suspension. The passenger was found to have an active warrant, and be in possession of less than 100 grams of marijuana.
