BUTLER TOWNSHIP — The following police activity report was received from the Butler Township Police Department. All subjects are innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
Miller Lane, speeding, Investigation revealed that the driver was stopped for driving 52 miles-per-hour in the 40 mile-per-hour zone on Miller Lane at Maxton Road. Further investigation revealed the odor of burnt marijuana from the vehicle. The driver and passenger were found to possess less than 100 grams of marijuana and marijuana drug paraphernalia.
Miller Lane, expired plate, Investigation reveals that the driver was stopped for an expired tag, and he was under suspension. Further investigation revealed the passenger falsified her name to the officer, and had 3 warrants. Crack drug paraphernalia, and marijuana, were found in the vehicle during a tow inventory. The driver was also found to have crack cocaine on his person.
Benchwood Road, theft, Elderly victim reported that her Rumpke trash can was taken between September 5, 2017 and September 8, 2017.
N. Dixie Drive, theft without consent, Investigation revealed that the owner of the company discovered a missing backpack blower on 8-20-17. It was discovered that a known suspect , who was an employee, had stolen the item and pawned it.
Hazelbrook, theft, Victim reported that someone entered into her locked car and stole her bag containing medical equipment used in her employment.
Walmart, theft, On This date I was dispatched to Walmart on a report of a theft in progress, upon arrival three subjects were arrested and charged with theft.
Benchwood/I-75, OVI, I initiated a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle after observing it making two lane changes without signaling first. The driver/registered owner was found to be under the influence of alcohol. The driver failed SFST’s and was offered a breath test, which he elected to do and registered 0.14%5 BAC. The arrestee was released to his sister, a sober adult, and his vehicle was towed to Busy Bee.
Meeker Creek, no charge listed, Responded to residence on a domestic violence in progress. Husband and wife are going through a divorce and had a verbal argument over property that is being divided up through the court system.
Walmart, misuse of credit card, Sandy Trinh, Manager of Diva Nails located inside the Walmart at 3465 York Commons Blvd, Butler Township, Montgomery County, Ohio reported that an unknown black female suspect obtained nail services using a possibly stolen credit card to pay for it.
Walmart, receiving stolen property, On September 13, 2017 at 2039 hrs officers were dispatched to the Walmart located at 3465 York Commons Blvd. Butler Township, Montgomery County Ohio in reference to a theft in progress. The described suspect vehicle was located as it attempted to flee the scene. Two suspects were apprehended for the Walmart theft. The vehicle was found to be an entered stolen vehicle out of Dayton. The suspect driving the vehicle was a listed suspect and was arrested for receiving stolen property.
Days Inn, The guest in the next room over called for police after hearing the female yelling at the male to get off her. Both parties were separated by the time the first officer was on scene. No sign of physical injuries to either subject. The wife however, states she recently left her husband because he get nasty when he has been drinking which was the case this evening. The female was transported to the YWCA where she has already set up a place for her to live.
N. Dixie Drive, burglary, Dispatched to a burglary in progress. Suspect was located in the house and charges of burglary and protection order violation will be processed.
Walmart, theft, Suspect was arrested for shoplifting and booked into the Montgomery County jail.
N. Dixie Drive, criminal trespass, Known subject entered vacant residence being renovated without permission of the owner.
Liquor and Wine Warehouse, theft, dispatched to the Liquor and Wine Warehouse, located at 3440 York Commons Boulevard in reference to a reported theft. On arrival, a witness, McKenzie Hayes, told me she witnessed a suspect come out of the store and took a bottle of alcohol out of his pants before getting into a silver van. A review of store security video confirmed that a theft had occurred from the store.
Hooters, theft without consent, Unknown subject ate food, consumed alcoholic beverages, and fled without paying.
Valero, unauthorized use of property, Investigation reveals that during an annual inspection of Pump 6, at the Valero gas station, a credit card scanning device was found attached the the card reader, inside the pump.
Walmart, OVI, On this date, I was dispatched to York Commons Blvd. on a report of a driver passed out behind the wheel. Upon arrival, the driver was arrested for OVI / Physical control.
Walmart, aggravated burglary, Dispatched to Walmart on an Aggravated Robbery in the parking lot.
