VANDALIA – The following police reports were received from the Vandalia Division of Police. All subjects are innocent until found guilty in court of law.
A business on N. Dixie Drive reported that a person removed a piece of equipment from the business without permission. The man claimed the business owed for leasing the equipment and when refused, he removed the equipment. The investigation continues.
Anthony D. Wilson, 20, was cited for possession of marijuana after police responded to Taco Bell to unlock Wilson’s vehicle. The investigation continues.
Lashar M. Williams, 30, was arrested for assault after police responded to ViaQuest on Poe Avenue. She was transported to Miami Valley Hospital on an emergency admission due to her mental state and danger to others.
An officer investigated an incident on Imperial Court in which a child’s mother was assaulted by the father. He fled the scene. The investigation continues.
An officer responded to Foxcroft Court on a report of vandalism due to toilet paper and eggs being thrown at his house. The investigation continues.
Christopher J. Martin, 26, and Tyler D. Locke, 22, were charged with disorderly conduct after fighting in an apartment parking lot. Locke was also charged with public intoxication and resisting arrest and transported to the county jail after numerous warnings by police to cease and desist his behavior.
Hannah L. Berry, 19, was issued a summons for possession of drug paraphernalia after an incident on Peters Pike.
William C. Hayslett, 37, was charged with felony domestic violence after an incident on Damian Street. He was transported to the county jail and also booked on a warrant out of Vandalia Municipal Court for driving under suspension.
Heather L. Cooper, 41, was arrested on a felony warrants out of for two counts of tampering with evidence and one count of abuse of a corpse after a traffic stop for expired plates. She was also charged with falsification for giving police false information. The drive of the vehicle, Justin Hamilton, 38, was cited for drug possession.
A vehicle was stopped for expired plates and towed to the registered owner’s house. The driver was cited for expired registration, fictitious plates, and a seat belt violation.
A driver recovered his stolen vehicle after a random license plate check located it at the Super 8 on E. National Road.
Jessica Strahan, 27, was arrested for domestic violence after an incident on W. National Road. She was taken to the county jail.
A 17-year old juvenile female was arrested for violation of her probation after cutting off her electronic ankle bracelet. She was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.
A complainant reported that her cell phone was stolen at Scene 75. The investigation continues.
A complainant came to the police department to report identity theft. The investigation continues.
A driver was cited for having a broken windshield and driving under suspension after a stop on E. National Road at Foley Drive. The vehicle was towed.
A driver was cited for having expired plates and driving under suspension after a traffic stop on Foley Drive. The vehicle was towed.
A vehicle was towed from Greenhurst Drive after having a warning placed on it for not being moved.
An officer was dispatched to Dayton Children’s Hospital for a possible child abuse investigation involving a four-month old child. The investigation continues.
A resident on Continental Court reported a wallet and cell phone were stolen by a possibly known person. The investigation continues.
Marquise D. Wilson, 21, was cited for disorderly conduct after police responded to Imperial Court due to a group arguing. Wilson was also arrested on an unrelated warrant out of Vandalia Municipal Court for domestic violence. He was taken to the county jail on the warrant.
Brian S. Massie, 31, was arrested for OVI after he hit the curb on E. National Road. He was released to a family member.
Plates on a vehicle parked at the Knights Inn were confiscated per BMV order after police did routine checks. A card was left on the driver’s window.
A driver was cited for driving under suspension and his vehicle was towed after a traffic stop on E. National Road.
Jayven T. E. Kilgore, 22, was arrested on a felony warrant out of Clark County Common Pleas Court for probation violation on an original charge of aggravated burglary. He was also cited for obstructing official business after providing false information. He was taken to the county jail.
Robert L. Simpson, 60, was arrested on a warrant out of Moraine Mayors Court for failure to comply on prior drug and traffic charges following a traffic stop at the Knights Inn. He was taken to the county jail.
Marcus Triplett, 41, was arrested on a warrant out of Montgomery County Common Pleas Court – Juvenile Division for missing a trial on a child support case. He was taken to the county jail.
Steven P. Yates, 32, was arrested for OVI following a traffic stop and a reported hit and run accident on Buttercup Ave. He was also cited for failure to control and leaving the scene of an accident. He was released to a family member.
A complainant on Croydon Court reported her car was damaged by an unknown suspect. The investigation continues.
Amanda S. King, 24, was arrested on a warrant out of Montgomery County for contempt of court on an original charge of drug abuse following a traffic stop on S. Brown School Road. She was taken to the county jail.
A complainant on Taylorsview Drive reported that a possibly known suspect damaged his vehicle and took the keys. The investigation continues.
The manager at KFC reported that the restaurant received a counterfeit $50 bill. When confronted, the suspect claimed to have received it as change at a gas station. The investigation continues.
