Butler Township Police Activity


BUTLER TOWNSHIP — The following police activity report was received from the Butler Township Police Department. All subjects are innocent until found guilty in a court of law.

August 27

Cricket Woods, theft, Responded to residence for theft from a motor vehicle. Complainant said that she heard her car door being slammed shut. She did not observe anyone running away from the vehicle.

Rosecrest Dr., theft, Responded to residence for theft from a motor vehicle. Victim’s purse was stolen from her vehicle, which was located under the passenger seat. No known suspects at this time.

Benchwood Road, theft, Responded to residence for theft from a motor vehicle. Victim left vehicle unlocked overnight.

Gaywood Place, theft, Victim believed that he locked his truck last night. He discovered this morning that his wallet was missing from the center console of the truck. After a search of the immediate area, the victim found his wallet in a bush in a neighbor’s yard. The victim was missing $300 in currency.

Walmart, theft, Suspect attempted to walk out with a printer. Suspect was arrested for theft and possession of drug abuse instruments and booked into the jail. Suspect also had two warrants.

August 28

Walmart, theft, On this date I was dispatched to Walmart on a report of two female shoplifters in custody. Upon arrival two females were arrested and transported to the county jail.

August 29

Walmart, theft, I was dispatched to walmart on a report of a theft in progress, upon arrival two females were arrested and transported to the county jail.

Chipotle, no offense listed, Dispatched to a Domestic Dispute in the rear parking lot of 6759 Miller Lane. Located two subjects. Both admitted to arguing over being dropped off at home. No violence or threats of violence. A marijuana cigar was located in the center console. It was forwarded to the property room, seized for destruction. No charges.

August 30

Benchwood/I-75, drug paraphernalia, Traffic stop, K9 alert, marijuana paraphernalia located.

America’s Best Value Inn, warrant arrest, Arrested subject on warrant. Found property in room that was booked into property room.

Bob Evans, disorderly conduct, Impaired female in Bob Evans who was subsequently arrested for disorderly conduct and obstructing.

Extended Stay America, no offense listed, Guest at Extended Stay America left his handgun in the room. Guest contacted to retrieve firearm.

Walmart, theft without consent, Responded to Walmart for a theft.

August 31

Brantford Road, littering, On this day, I observed a subject dump trash, and the subject was arrested for littering

O’Charley’s, littering, Investigation reveals a suspect returned to O’Charley’s restaurant, 7030 Miller Lane, after being told to leave earlier for soliciting money from patrons. When the suspect was located, I saw him throw a lit cigarette on the sidewalk, in front of Sams club on Miller Lane, which sparked, and blew away in the wind. The suspect was arrested for littering, and trespassed from O’Charley’s.

September 1

Liquor and Wine Warehouse, theft, female selected bottle of alcohol and walked out the front door without paying.

Commerce Center Drive, drug paraphernalia, Investigation revealed the driver was stopped for an expired tag at Commerce Center Drive and York Commons Boulevard. The driver was found in possession of a glass pipe used for smoking marijuana.

Miller Lane, open container, Investigation revealed that a driver was stopped for failure to signal a right turn on Miller Lane at the Red Roof Inn. The passenger was found to be in possession of an open container of alcohol.

Tangletree, no offense listed, Subjects smoking marijuana at park behind Tangletree Court. Handed over what they had left, booked in for destruction.

September 2

Maxton Road, disorderly conduct, : Investigation reveals that a highly intoxicated female, while in an unknown disturbance with a passenger, reported the passenger had a gun. There was no gun, and the female was charged with public intoxication. Both were trespassed from Arby’s on Maxton Road.

Honeycutt Circle, domestic violence, Investigation revealed that during an argument, a suspect attempted to cause physical harm to a sibling by punching her in the face twice.

Sam’s Club, theft, Victim lost wallet in lot of Sam’s Club located at 6955 Miller Lane in Butler Township and upon contacting the bank to place holds on the various credit cards found that one had been used at an unknown Boost Mobile Store.
