Historical Society to dedicate log cabin


VANDALIA — The Historical Society of Vandalia-Butler invites the community to dedicate the replica log cabin on Sunday, Sept. 17 at 1:30 p.m.

The cabin is on the Historical Society grounds at 336 E. Alkaline Springs Road in Vandalia. The cabin was made from the oldest known surving structure in Butler Township and will be dedicated in honor of the township’s bicentennial.

The Historical Society holds open houses on the first and third Sundays in April through October.
