Butler Township Police Activity


BUTLER TOWNSHIP — The following police activity report was received from the Butler Township Police Department. All subjects are innocent until found guilty in a court of law.

August 14

Walnut Ridge, criminal damaging, Suspect put glue in locks and ignition of vehicle.

N. Sunny Ridge, breaking and entering, police dispatched to this address on a report of a B&E to a detached garage. Items were missing, and a report was taken.

Extended Stay America, sexual battery, Dispatched to the Huber Emergency Center on a report of a sexual battery. Spoke with victim, collected the Sexual Assault evidence collection kit, and took the initial report.

August 15

I-75 & Benchwood, no charge listed, Investigation reveals that a vehicle was stopped for not using a turn signal. After a consent search, 17 credit cards, in 2 occupant’s names, were located. They are suspected of being fraudulent.

Miller Lane, no offense listed, Assisted with Riverside officers on a traffic stop, which was part of the Montgomery County law enforcement blitz.

Meeker Road, no offense listed, Subjects were having a dispute of a private property accident that was not witnessed by either owners or independent witnesses. There was no evidence the accident occurred between either vehicle.

Cedar Cliff, unruly juvenile, Two juveniles left home on Sunday, August 13, 2017. Both subjects refused to tell their mother where they were. Unruly juvenile charges will be sent to Juvenile Justice Center.

Red Roof Inn, receiving stolen property,

Investigation revealed that the suspect was found driving an entered stolen vehicle as he left the Red Roof Inn, located at 7370 Miller Lane.

McDonalds, drug possession, Traffic stop with K9 alert. Baggy w/ meth located beside driver seat and meth pipe located in glove compartment.

Towne Place Suites, theft, I spoke to the victim who reported that an unknown suspect stole her wedding band from her room at the motel.

Fricker’s, theft, Dispatched to Fricker’s reference a theft of consumable goods. Located suspects and payment was recovered. Refusals signed.

Dog Leg Road/Frederick Pike, OVI, Responded to location for a property damage crash. Driver was found to be OVI and was arrested.

August 16

Walmart, theft without consent, Dispatched to Walmart for a theft.

Miller Lane/Benchwood, OVI, Investigation revealed that a driver crashed into the rear of another vehicle while westbound on Benchwood Road at Miller Lane. The driver of unit 1 was found to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs of abuse, and she was arrested and charged with OVI. The driver tested .083 grams of alcohol per 210 liters of breath.

Benchwood Road, no offense listed, Responded to address for a domestic dispute.

Wings Sports Bar, disorderly conduct, While investigating a civil issue, the suspect was found to have three active warrants. The suspect started yelling at her boyfriend in the lot and refused to quiet down. The suspect was issued a summons for disorderly conduct.

August 17

Landsend Ct., barking dog, Ongoing issue involving with a barking dog at 6XXX Landsend Ct causing a disturbance and annoyance to the resident of 6XXX Timberlands Dr. The excessive barking was recorded by the complainant at approximately 0219 hours today.

Walmart, theft, Dispatched to Walmart in reference to a theft. Located suspect in vehicle attempting to leave. Suspect threw crack pipe from vehicle. Suspect was returned to Asset Protection and positively identified as the theft suspect. Suspect had prior theft and criminal trespass notice. Suspect charged with theft, possession of drug paraphernalia, and criminal trespassing. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

August 18

Yorkshire Dr., disorderly conduct/intoxication,

Investigation reveals that an individual ingested heroin, and overdosed to the point he stopped breathing, and needed CPR and Narcan to be revived. After he came to, he was disorderly and turbulent, and after warning, was arrested. He also had 5 gel caps with residue, and a 1$ bill used to ingest the heroin.

N. Dixie Drive, violation of protection order, Duff obtained a civil protection order against Miller. Miller called Duff’s cellular telephone and left a voice message. An examination of the protection order revealed that Duff is not a protected person, rather his juvenile daughter is the protected person. A subsequent telephone message was left for the daughter by a five-year-old child who is the son of one of Miller’s friends.

Walmart, no charge listed, Domestic dispute. No threats or violence.

August 19

Sam’s Club, no charge listed, Investigation reveals that during the course of a traffic stop on Miller Lane near Maxton Road, a small baggy of marijuana was found inside the vehicle. I could not determine the owner, and the baggy was booked for destruction.

Red Lion Inn, theft of motor vehicle, Unknown subject entered the vehicle through the unlocked drivers door, located the keys in the vehicles driver door interior pocket. The suspect started the vehicle and drove away. There were no witnesses to the theft.

Walnut Ridge, criminal damaging, Responded to residence for criminal damaging to a motor vehicle. A large rock was thrown through the driver side window.

Settlement Way, theft of a motor vehicle, Responded to 7XXX Settlement Way regarding a theft of a motor vehicle. Victim loaned the vehicle to his girlfriend with the agreement she returned the vehicle on Monday August 14, 2017. The vehicle has not been return as of the date of this report. The suspect refuses to return the vehicle.

N. Dixie Drive, OVI, Investigation reveals that a driver was found to be driving at 54 miles-per-hour in a 40 mile-per-hour zone on North Dixie Drive. The driver made a short attempt to elude the officer, but did stop. The driver was found to be highly intoxicated and subsequently arrested. The driver became suicidal and self destructive, and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Walmart, theft, Unknown suspect concealed an automotive power converter in his pants and passed all points of purchase without paying for it. When confronted by asset protection associates the suspect fled the scene on foot.

August 20

America’s Best Value Inn, domestic violence, Common law spouses were intoxicated and arguing. The female alleged that the male pulled her hair. The male alleged that the female struck him with her hand. The female had no visible injuries while the male had injuries supporting his claim. No clear primary aggressor.

Fricker’s, no charge listed, Three juvenile males consumed a meal and then attempted to depart the restaurant. Another patron paid for the meal. The three juveniles were trespassed from the restaurant.

Cedarcliff, unruly juvenile, On August 20, 2017 we were informed of two runaway juveniles. A report was taken as well as all other steps in a missing persons report.
