Old Springfield Road to close at bridge over Great Miami River

VANDALIA — Vandalia’s Director of Public Service Rob Cron has announced that Old Springfield Road will be closed at the bridge over the Great Miami River beginning tomorrow, August 16.

According to the Montgomery County Engineer’s Office, the bridge will be closed for milling and resurfacing the roadway as well as the removal and reinstallation of waterproofing.

“They (County Engineer) could not give me a definite time frame on the length of the closure, but that it would be a minimum of three days but most likely longer,” said Cron. “We apologize for the late notice but we were not notified by the county.”
