Vandalia Police Reports

VANDALIA – The following police reports were received from the Vandalia Division of Police. All subjects are innocent until found guilty in court of law.

July 5

Frank A Bibbs, II, 37, was arrested at the Fairborn Jail on a warrant out of Vandalia Municipal Court for disorderly conduct. He was transported to the police department where he posted bond.

A complainant reported that his cell phone was stolen from behind the counter at MPower Gym. The investigation continues. Investigation ultimately found the phone had been sold at an ecoATM at the Kroger in Huber Heights. A summons was sent to the suspect since he was unable to be located.

July 6

BJ’s Drive Thru received a counterfeit $20 from a known customer. After confronting the customer, he paid with a different bill and left. The bill was placed in police property for Secret Service collection.

Officers were dispatched to Clean and Bright Auto Detailing on the report of a stolen Rumpke trash can. The investigation continues.

Thomas E. Von, 51, was arrested on a warrant out of Montgomery County Common Pleas Court for probation violation on an original charge of abduction. He was taken to the county jail.

Officers responded to an address on N. Dixie on the report of a burglary and theft. The investigation continues.

Officers responded to an address on N. Brown School Road after being requested to do a welfare check on a spouse and young child. Officers determined both were safe.

Officers responded to Kroger on the report of a vehicle damaged in the parking lot. The investigation continues.

July 7

An adult male was transported to Grandview Hospital after making threats of suicide.

A complainant reported that her wallet was stolen from her vehicle around the area of Corporate Center Drive. The investigation continues.

Two males purchased items at Family Dollar and Dollar General stores with counterfeit bills. The investigation continues.

A 16-year old juvenile was charged with being unruly after running away. She has been a runaway before. She was located at a gas station in the Mason, Ohio area.

July 8

The manager at Cashland reported several items stolen since the last store audit. The investigation continues.

A resident on Shire Court reported that someone threw a rock or other object at her windshield and broke it overnight. The investigation continues.

July 9

Carlos Armado Motalvo Morales, 31, was charged with OVI after originally being stopped for not having a rear license plate light at I-75 and Little York Road. He was released to a friend.

A resident on N. Van Lake Drive reported her front storm door was broken by unknown means. The investigation continues.

Officers and medics attempted to revive a man who overdosed with two vials of Narcan but he did not respond. He was pronounced dead at Grandview Hospital.

Craig E. Keller, 47, was arrested for disorderly conduct/intoxication after a motorist reported seeing him laying on the walkway on E. National Road and I-75. He was taken to the county jail after being unable to find someone to release him to.

A 12-year old juvenile female was arrested for domestic violence after an incident on Gabriel St. She was taken to the juvenile detention center.

Zebib K. Tesema, 40, was issued a summons for disorderly conduct after yelling outside his apartment during an argument. This was not the first time officers have responded to this address.

A 17-year old juvenile female was charged with assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, and being unruly after police attempted to arrest her for being a runaway. The girl has multiple unruly charges in the past. She was taken to the juvenile detention center.

The Shell station on W. National Road reported a man entered the business and took a bottle of motor oil, concealed it, and left the business. The investigation continues.

July 10

A complainant reported that a bag with work material was missing from her vehicle after being at the Bark Park on Webster St. The investigation continues.

A 17-year old juvenile male was arrested on a warrant for truancy out of Montgomery Juvenile Court. He was taken to the juvenile detention center.

After a medic call on Dunnigan Drive an allegation of domestic violence was made. After investigation, the case was presented to prosecutors who refused charges.

Unknown suspect(s) forced open a house and garage door at an address on Curtis Wright Blvd. The house has been vacant for over a year. The investigation continues.

An unknown male paid for items at Speedway with a counterfeit $20 bill. The investigation continues.
