Ad Hoc Council Committee to meet
VANDALIA — There will be a meeting of a Vandalia Ad Hoc Committee on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 6 p.m. at the Vandalia Senior Center, 21 Tionda Drive. The purpose of the ad hoc committee is to consider a request to name public buildings, parks, roads and/or facilities after Hank Owings.

ENGLEWOOD — Grand Squares Square Dance Club which dances monthly on the fourth Friday at the Polk Grove United Church of Christ at 9190 Frederick Pk. in Englewood, OH is announcing its new lesson class! Historical Society seeks bridge players
VANDALIA — The Historical Society Bridge Flight #2 is looking for four people, friends or couples, to complete our roster for the coming season that starts in September. We play on the 1st Wednesday of each month from September through May. The cost is $10.00 for the season. We play at Panera Bread on Miller Lane at 9:30 a.m. – the time is negotiable with the couple you will be playing with. Because we play at a restaurant, you are asked to eat breakfast or lunch there. CO detectors available for township residents
BUTLER TWP. — The Dayton Firefighters Federal Credit Union has donated 50 carbon monoxide detectors to the Butler Township Fire Department. Because of this great donation the Fire Department will be offering these carbon monoxide detectors free to their residence on a first come first serve basis. If you are in need of a carbon monoxide detectors please contact the on-duty supervisor at 937-890-2491 to make sure there are still detectors available.
St. Christopher Craft Bazaar seeking donations
VANDALIA — The St. Christopher Craft Bazaar is on it’s way and we are taking donations. The donations will be for the raffle table at the Craft Bazaar that is being held November 4. Items we are seeking for donation to raffle off include Event Tickets, Amusement tickets, gift cards, vendor baskets and more. Butler Township Neighborhood Watch meetings set
BUTLER TWP. — The Butler Township combined neighborhood watch groups will hold its next meeting on Wednesday, November 29 at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Township Hall, 3780 Little York Road.
Subsequent neighborhood watch meetings will be held on February 28 and May 30, 2018.
