Butler Township Police Activity

BUTLER TOWNSHIP — The following police activity report was received from the Butler Township Police Department. All subjects are innocent until found guilty in a court of law.

July 24

Walmart, theft, Subject stated that she left her cell phone at the self check out register at Walmart and left the store after purchasing items. Once she realized she forgot her cell phone, she returned to the store and the cell phone was gone.

July 25

Red Roof Inn, theft of a motor vehicle.

Walmart, theft, Subject selected and concealed merchandise passing last point of purchase making no attempt to pay for items.

Days Inn, theft of a motor vehicle, Dispatched to theft of a motor vehicle from the Day’s Inn.

Walmart, domestic violence, Dispatched to Walmart’s parking lot for a domestic violence complaint.

July 26

Maxton Road, Recovered purse from a previous theft that occurred in township. Officer Hammond contacted his victim to advise the Police Department was in possession of the recovered property.

Walmart, theft, On this date, I was dispatched to Walmart on a report of a theft in progress.

TownePlace Suites, disorderly conduct, Responded to motel for a disorderly subject.

Walmart, theft without consent, Investigation revealed that the suspect concealed, and removed, $374.31 worth of merchandise from the store without paying.

Days Inn, possession of heroin, While assisting EMS crews with a suspected drug overdose at the Day’s Inn, located at 7470 Miller Lane, Butler Township, Montgomery County, Ohio, I observed a clear capsule containing what I believe to be heroin fall out from under the white male victim’s belt as medic crews were moving him. I collected the suspected Heroin to be sent to the crime lab. Possible drug possession charges will be pending the lab results.

Days Inn, drug paraphernalia, Responded to motel on possible overdose. While on scene contact with non-related suspect who was in possession of drug paraphernalia and a BB gun.

On July 26 officers were dispatched to the Day’s Inn Motel, located at 7470 Miller Ln., in Butler Township, Montgomery County, Ohio, in reference to two entered missing juveniles who were reported to be staying in room 242. We went to that room, located the missing juveniles and detained them while coordinating with Clark County and Miami County Sheriff’s Offices, who were the entering agencies. The female was turned over to her custodial Grandmother, and the male was taken to the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Center on a Clark County warrant when they were unable to respond to take custody of him.

July 27

Benchwood Road, criminal damaging, no narrative

Walmart, theft, Suspect shoplifted at Walmart. Suspect was booked into the Montgomery County Jail.

N. Dixie Drive, I was dispatched to this address on a report of a sick raccoon. The raccoon appeared sick and unable to move well. I put the animal down with my service weapon.

July 28

McDonald’s, underage alcohol consumption, Responded to McDonald’s for a private property crash. Juvenile female was arrested for under age consumption of alcohol and no valid driver license.

Days Inn, criminal trespass, On Friday, July 28, I was dispatched to the Day’s Inn located at 7470 Miller Lane in Butler Township, Montgomery County, Ohio, for an unconscious unknown. Upon arrival a white female was transported by medic to Grandview Hospital.

Red Roof Inn, criminal damaging, I was dispatched to the Red Roof Inn located at 7370 Miller Ln. Butler Township, Montgomery County, Ohio in reference to damage to a TV in room 241. The manager reported that the room was rented to a single adult guest last night. Some time between then and when the room was cleaned this afternoon the screen on the TV was damaged to the point where the TV is not operational.

July 29

N. Dixie @ York Commons, OVI, OVI driver passed out behind wheel, SFSTs refused, summonsed for OVI.

Meeker Road, identity fraud, Complainant stated that father has been using his identity for an unspecified amount of time. Complainant’s father lives in Indiana.
