Butler Township Police Activity

BUTLER TOWNSHIP — The following police activity report was received from the Butler Township Police Department. All subjects are innocent until found guilty in a court of law.

July 10

Yorkshire Drive, Responded on possible burglary in progress at 7XXX Yorkshire Drive.

Spring Glen, identity fraud, Investigation revealed that between 2-26-17 and today, unknown suspect(s) used the victim’s identity to open credit accounts with department stores. It was unknown how the suspect(s) obtained her identity.

July 11

Days Inn, domestic violence, Domestic Dispute between male and female in room #201.

Police department, domestic violence, Victim received threatening message from sister on voice mail.

July 12

Drury Inn, Responded to Drury Inn for a found handgun in hotel room. The hotel provided me the name and phone number of the registered guest. I contacted the owner, who verified that she left her handgun at the hotel. Owner came by the police department and retrieved her handgun.

Red Roof Inn, criminal damaging, Guest checked into Red Roof Inn room 113 and the television was fine. When the guest checked out, the television was damaged.

Frederick Pike, theft without consent, Victim reported that ex-girlfriend stole his extra set of car and house keys.

July 13

Red Lion Inn, disorderly conduct, Dispatched to Red Lion motel on an overdose.

Walmart, theft without consent, Responded to Walmart for a theft in progress. Male subject exited the store with a brief foot pursuit. Male subject was apprehended a short time later.

Forest Green, disorderly conduct, Investigation revealed that the suspect, who was intoxicated to the point he could not properly care for himself, left his home 3 times walking toward the Dayton Memorial Cemetery with the third being after warning that if he persisted, he would be arrested.

Reinwood, theft without consent, theft of items by victim’s acquaintance.

Landsend, barking dog, barking dog complaint. It is an ongoing issue.

July 14

Walmart, theft, Dispatched to Walmart for a theft in progress. Subject did not pass last point of sale with property, but was discovered to have active warrant when serving trespass. Transported to MCSO jail and released to intake officer.

N. Dixie Drive @ Little York, possession of controlled substance, Suspect #1 was involved in a crash as Unit #1. Suspect #1 was found to be in possession of marijuana after the crash. Suspect #2 was the operator of Unit #2 and was found to be operating a motorcycle without a motorcycle endorsement.

July 15

Walmart, theft, Suspect stole items from Walmart and then fled in a vehicle. The vehicle was stopped at Benchwood Road at I-75. The suspect was summoned into the Vandalia Municipal Court after claiming a preexisting injury, which the medics confirmed.

Walmart, theft, Suspect concealed items into a shopping bag. Suspect was summoned into the Vandalia Municipal Court.

York Plaza, domestic violence, The defendant shoved, scratched, and bit the victim, who she shares a home and 1 year old child with. The assault took place in front of the child while the family was staying in a local hotel for the night. The female half was arrested for domestic violence after I observed bite marks on the victim’s wrist, torso, and head.

July 16

Hazelbrook, theft without consent, Investigation reveals that the reporting person had items removed from her unlocked car that was parked on the street in front of her home.

Ramella L. Alexander, 23, domestic violence
