VANDALIA — Butler students Erin Dean and Madison Hildebrand were recently honored with the President’s Volunteer Service Award.

They were presented with this award for dedicating themselves to 4,000 hours of volunteer work over the course of their lifetimes.

The President’s Volunteer Service Award is a premier volunteer awards program that looks to encourage citizens to lead a life of service. The program hopes to inspire citizens into service through recognition and gratitude for their actions.

Erin and Madison gathered these hours through their schools, church activities, and they volunteered their services at Matthew 25: Ministries.
