Township police seek suspects

BUTLER TWP. — Butler Township Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a pair of suspects in the vandalism of several mailboxes.

The incidents occurred last Saturday between 4:30 and 6 a.m. in the area of Roselake, Garianne, Dawnridge, and Brantford Road. Over 20 residents had their mailboxes vandalized.

According to Butler Township Police Chief John Porter, a witness reported they had seen two subjects walking in the roadway just after hearing loud bangs and believed to be some of the mailboxes being destroyed or knocked down. It is believed that the suspects walked from Brantford to Dawnridge to Garianne and then north on Roselake towards Little York.

The suspects are believed to be slim build between the ages of 12 and 17 years old. Several beer cans and an empty juice jug was found and believed to have been carried by the suspects.
