VANDALIA — Last Friday the pets and pet owners of Vandalia-Butler gathered at the Vandalia Farmer’s Market to enjoy a night of furry friends and friendly competition.

The Farmer’s Market hosted pet night, in which attendees of the market were invited to bring their pets along, as well as compete in various competitions with them. The competitions included “owner lookalike” and “best costume.”

Winning the owner lookalike contest was Chamber of Commerce Administrative Assistant, Roni Roach, and her dog. As a reward for their victory, the two received a photoshoot package together.

Vandalia Mayor Setzer competed in the Best Costume category with her two dogs E-jay and A-jay, dressed as bumblebees.

The Farmer’s market Pet night saw a great turnout of many citizens and pets from around the community.
