VANDALIA — At the Butler High School Awards Program on Thursday, May 18, 2017, Sister Cites of Vandalia awarded scholarships to three outstanding students. Presenters were Bob Schaffner and Tracy Schaffner, a member of the Scholarship Committee.

Recipients were as follows: Jillian Sugden, $1,000 Scholarship for Business at Ohio Northern University; Madison Norman, $2,000 Walter Lakin Scholarship for Nursing at Wright State University; Caroline Miller, $1,000.00 Scholarship for Biomedical Engineering at The Ohio State University.

These students will also receive an additional $1,000 for their sophomore year if they maintain a 3.25 GPA during their freshman year. These scholarships funds comes from our Oktoberfest which is held the weekend after Labor Day.
