VANDALIA — Historical Society of Vandalia-Butler member and master gardener Mary Geiger will provide a variety of information about pollinator habitats and native plants during our Sunday, June 18 Open House at the Society grounds at 1:30 p.m. The Vandalia Bee City USA Committee (with members from the Society) asked Mary to discuss or display native plants and pollinator habitats.
We will also have pollinator seed packets available for $10 that are half the price you would normally pay if you had to order the seed packets on your own. The various seeds cover a 250 square foot planting area.
This event is scheduled for 1:30-2:30 p.m. and will be held at the Society Meeting House/Shelter area, 336 East Alkaline Springs Road, Vandalia. The buildings will be open, as part of the regular Open House event, from 1-3 p.m. For more information please call Joe Dranschak at 937-898-6689 or Email firstname.lastname@example.org.
