Vandalia Police seek suspect who stole coin worth $1,300 from Crossroads Coina

Vandalia Police are seeking the identity of this man suspected of pocketing a Canadian Maple coin valued at $1,300 while at Crossroads Coins on E. National Road.

VANDALIA — Vandalia Police are seeking the identity of a man wanted in connection with the theft of a coin valued at $1,300.

The theft occurred on May 4 around 11 a.m. The man, described as a black male wearing a black hat came into the store and looked at expensive coins. He then distracted the clerk and palmed a Canadian Maple coin and put it in his back pocket.

He then left the store in a small white sedan.
