VANDALIA — The City of Vandalia’s annual street resurfacing program is set to begin the week of May 22.
According to an email by the city’s Director of Public Service the contractor will begin milling streets on Tuesday, May 23 weather permitting.
“They will begin milling on North Dixie Drive between Inverness and Northwoods Boulevard first thing in the morning (Tuesday),” said Cron. “I have let them know that Vandalia’s graduation will take place this Friday and that no work should be done on the area of Dixie near the school that day.”
Cron said the entire project should be completed within a couple of weeks depending on weather.
Streets being resurfaced in 2017 are:
- Alley ‘A’
- Alley ‘E’
- Alley ‘F’
- Poplar Creek East
- Poplar Creek West
- N. Dixie (Northwoods to Inverness)
- Webster (SB Lane: S. of Little York to Park Center)
- Webster (NB Lane: Old Webster to RR Crossing)
- Old Canal
- Clubhouse Way
- Old Falls (Clubhouse to Falls Entrance)
- S. Dixie (National to Library)
