VANDALIA — Smiles appeared on the faces of the audience when the lone survivor of a shipwreck on a deserted island finds out after five years that there were many others living there as well too shy to talk to him in skit one.

Chuckles were heard and “sparks started to fly” when Cinderella, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty ran into each other at a local restaurant only to discover they are all married to the same Prince Charming in skit two. And sustained laughter occurred when four space travelers and their robot encounter a strange alien and have to resort to “air guitar” strumming to escape in skit three.

It was the Vandalia Senior Center April 21 Potluck dinner and the entertainment provided by Readers Theatre. If you had been there this would all make humorous good sense and you would have loved it according to a spokesperson who viewed all three short plays and feasted on the dinner.
