Butler Township Police Activity

BUTLER TOWNSHIP — The following police activity report was received from the Butler Township Police Department. All subjects are innocent until found guilty in a court of law.

February 13

Meadow Green Court, Patient abuse, neglect, Care giver left group home leaving patient with a nurse. Investigation revealed this was a policy violation, but not a crime.

Cricket Lane, violation of protection order, Victim has a protection order against his neighbor. The victim saw his neighbor reach into the victim’s mailbox and remove items. After investigation, based on probable cause, the suspect was arrested for violating the conditions of the protection order.

N. Dixie Drive, possession of drug paraphernalia, stopped a driver for failing to signal a right turn from westbound Benchwood Road to northbound North Dixie Drive. Investigation revealed the driver was in possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. The driver was cited for the traffic violation and issued a summons for possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia.

Miller Lane, failure to comply with order or signal of officer, Traffic stop, vehicle fled, occupied by two black males.

February 14

Benchwood/I-75, open container violation, stopped a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix on Benchwood Road at Miller Lane for not having an operating license plate light. Investigation revealed the passenger was in possession of an opened container of alcohol. The driver was cited for the traffic violation, and the passenger was issued a summons for the open container violation.

Benchwood Road, unruly juvenile – habitually disobedient, Responded to 3XXX Benchwood Road for a missing juvenile. Complainant stated that her 17 year old grandson had been missing since Saturday, February 11, 2017. Complainant said that grandson was on probation for auto theft.

Walmart, theft, Suspect scanned one item at Walmart self-checkout. Suspect hit the payment button, which disabled the system from further scanning and ran several merchandise items over the non-functioning scanner. Suspect bagged the items and departed the store. Suspect was booked into the jail.

Dog Leg Road, OVI, While investigating a crash, the driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, a felony due to his multiple prior convictions. A passenger from the crash was transported to the hospital, and while at hospital receiving treatment, she retrieved scheduled IV pills and two baggies containing a crystallized substance from her vagina.

February 15

Sudachi Drive, theft, Suspect took $27 from the joint of account of her mother and her sister without their permission. Victim declined to prosecute.

February 16

Motel 6, drug paraphernalia, Intoxicated subject arguing with taxi cab driver in hotel lobby. While subject gathered money from her jacket, a crack pipe fell to the ground. Subject was arrested and booked for drug paraphernalia.

Extended Stay America, theft, Victim believes she lost her Netspend/Visa card yesterday while outside the Extended Stay America hotel where she is a guest. The victim states an unknown suspect withdrew $300 from her account before she could report her card missing.

February 17

Comfort Inn, obstructing official business, Drunk and disorderly subject refused to pay for his bill at Smokey Bones restaurant then became belligerent with the manager and other staff. The suspect was gone when I arrived however, his name and location was provided to me by his friend. Upon locating the suspect outside his hotel several hours later, I instructed him to stop. The suspect fled back into the hotel and into his room. After several minutes of knocking on the door, another subject in the room opened the door. The suspect was taken into custody and later released with a summons to appear.

Benchwood Road, domestic violence, Responded to 3XXX Benchwood Road for a domestic violence complaint. Husband and wife had been drinking alcohol and got into an argument over how the 14 year old son treats the 8 year old son. Husband stated that wife hit him on the face/head several times with a closed fist. The 8 year old son confirmed dad’s claim. The wife was arrested for domestic violence.

February 18

Rosecrest Drive, theft, Subject took $100.00 cash and a Chase bank card. Subject eventually withdrew $505.50 from account through two different ATM machines.

Walmart, theft, Responded to Walmart on a theft complaint. Investigation revealed that a female took a desktop computer, proceeded straight to the exit and ran out of the door, failing to pay for the item, and ignoring the employee’s request to stop and show proof of purchase. The suspect entered the passenger’s side of a car after loading the computer in her back seat. The driver fled the lot towards North Dixie Drive.

Fricker’s, theft, White male and female suspect ordered food totaling $73.06 and left without paying for it. They did leave a credit card with no name on it that was declined.

February 19

Red Roof Inn, misconduct at an emergency, I responded to Red Roof Inn on a reported overdose. The patient was found unresponsive, not breathing, no pulse. CPR was started and NARCAN was administered. The patient regained a pulse and started breathing again, and was removed by medics to the hospital. During this incident, another room occupant became disorderly, and after being warned of arrest if she continued her turbulent behavior, continued being disorderly, hampering my efforts to provide scene safety and conduct the investigation. She was arrested and charged for disorderly conduct and misconduct at an emergency, and transported to jail.

Airport Mini Storage, theft of a motor vehicle, Between Sunday, February 5, 2017 at 1600 hours and Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 1445 hours, an American Hauler trailer bearing Ohio registration SWE2022 containing a Honda Rancher 420ES all terrain vehicle bearing Ohio registration 2FD29 were taken from the Airport Mini Storage located at 11970 Peters Pike.

Jashawn D. E. Wilder, 23, theft

Treylann D. Sanders, 24, warrant arrest for possession of cocaine

Candace L. Lay, 36, disorderly conduct, misconduct at an emergency
