Butler Township Police Activity

BUTLER TOWNSHIP — The following police activity report was received from the Butler Township Police Department. All subjects are innocent until found guilty in a court of law.

November 15

Dog Leg Road, Responded to an address on Dog Leg Road for an attempted burglary to residence. Entry was not made, but pry marks were found on rear door to the residence.

November 16

N. Dixie @ Jewelstone, Suspects provided false identification in an effort to avoid arrest on warrants.

Drury Inn & Suites, Responded to Miami Valley Hospital for a rape complaint. Victim stated she was staying at Drury Inn and Suites and knew the suspect. (Under investigation)

November 17

America’s Best Value Inn, Management requested trespass of subjects, 1 subject provided false identity, was charged with obstruction and arrested on parole violation warrant, 2nd subject had marijuana on person, both trespassed

November 18

I-70 @ Airport Access Road, Vehicle was disabled on the side of eastbound 70 neat the 32 mile post. Owner sent a tow to retrieve the vehicle and it was gone.

Haverstraw Ave., criminal damaging, Vehicle shot by a metal BB gun or a low caliber firearm by an unknown suspect.

November 19

Smokey Bones, disorderly conduct/intoxication, Officers were dispatched to Smokey Bones reference a disorderly customer who would not leave.

Red Roof Inn, theft, Suspect stole a laptop and money from victim after having an argument.

November 20

Benchwood Road, unruly juvenile (habitual), Juvenile departed with friend to go to a party on Sunday, November 19, 2016, at 2000 hours. Friend stated that she dropped off the juvenile at her home on Sunday, November 19, 2016, at 2200 hours. The mother has not seen or heard from the child.

Walmart, theft, While assisting Vandalia Police with a suspicious person, the subject, James A. Medley had concealed on his person two articles of meat. I went to Walmart, reviewed video, and learned that Medley had stolen the meat from Walmart. Vandalia booked Medley in on a warrant. I prepared Vandalia Municipal Court complaints against Medley for theft and criminal trespass. I faxed the complaints to the jail to be served upon Medley.

November 21

Walnut Ridge Road, domestic violence, Victim said father of her child kicked her in the stomach. The suspect was arrested for domestic violence.

Hooter’s, theft, cell phone taken from unlocked vehicle.

Walmart, interference with custody, responded to an investigation of a possible missing child as reported by the mother of a child. Investigation lead to the summons of the child’s father for interference with custody, and the child being returned to the mother.

November 23

Singing Hills Blvd., theft, The resident of a residential nursing home had a cell phone lost or stolen. No suspects.

Benchwood Road, theft of a motor vehicle, Victim stated that her vehicle was stolen between the hours of 0815 to 1415 hours. There are no known suspects at this time.

Steak ‘n Shake, possession of drugs, Suspect overdosed on heroin in the bathroom of Steak ‘N Shake. Heroin, methamphetamine, and unknown white pills located in her purse while attempting to find her identification.

November 25

Outback Steak House, theft, Victim’s work van was broken into and tools stolen while he was inside the restaurant.

November 26

Deerfield St., deceased person, appeared to be natural causes.

Comfort Inn, assault, Victim said an acquaintance punched her inside their Comfort Inn hotel room. Suspect was arrested for assault.

November 27

Walmart, theft, Dispatched to business for a theft of a TV. Located suspects and charged with theft.

Residence Inn, theft, employee theft from cash register.
