Vandalia Police Reports

VANDALIA – The following police reports were received from the Vandalia Division of Police. All subjects are innocent until found guilty in court of law.

October 14

Oscar R. Almeyda, 36, was arrested on charges out of Eaton for violating a protection order. He was transferred to an Eaton police officer.

A resident on Brindlestone reported the theft of a lawnmower from her garage. The investigation continues.

October 15

Bonnie J. Renacs, 60, of Huber Heights, was arrested for criminal trespassing, obstructing official business, and aggravated menacing after she tried to enter a residence on Inverness. The aggravated menacing charge was made after threats were made against the arresting officer. She was taken to the county jail.

October 16

Police received the report of a sexual assault from a female at Good Samaritan Hospital. The investigation continues.

A resident on Grossbeck turned in ammunition that he no longer wanted. The shotgun shells were placed in police property to be disposed of.

Donald V. Burke, 33, was arrested on a warrant for assault after being found at the Travelodge. He was taken to the county jail.

Nathan A. Hall, 33, was issued a summons for assault after an incident on Timberlake Dr.

Christopher Woodall, 22, of Dayton, was issued a citation for an open container violation.

October 17

A business on Wyse Road reported the theft of vehicle tires. The investigation continues.

Brandon W. Miller, 27, was issued a summons with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

October 18

A complainant reported that personal items with a value of $2,400 were stolen off a moving truck while parked on S. Brown School Road. The investigation continues.

Angela M. Kovacs, 45, was arrested for domestic violence after an incident on Skyview Dr. She was taken to the county jail the next day.

Evans Motorworks reported a vehicle was stolen from their lot. The investigation continues.

A 15-year old juvenile male was charged with being unruly after not returning home. He eventually returned home and the case was referred to juvenile court.

October 19

Vandalia police set up stop sticks on Brown School Road to assist Huber Heights Police in a pursuit. The vehicle stopped on E. National Road at Foley and the Huber Heights officer arrested the suspect.

A complainant reported the theft of a purse at Ruby Tuesday restaurant. The investigation continues.

Vandalia Carryout reported the theft of two bottles of liquor after a male suspect distracted the clerk and a female suspect stole the items. The investigation continues.

A 15-year old juvenile female was charged with domestic violence against her mother. She was released to her father and referred to juvenile court.

October 20

A complainant reported known suspects removed items from his deceased father’s house without permission. The investigation continues.
